I took these photos on two separate rides along this route this week.

I rode from San Clemente along San Onofre (which is south into San Diego County.) I rode a lot further than I had intended because the scenery kept getting more beautiful and more interesting as I went deeper into San Diego County.


I saw roadrunners, rabbits, marmot and chipmunks.


Most of the ride is along San Onofre State Beach and through Camp Pendleton Marine Base.
